Family Centers
Technical assistance to local Family Centers, offering parental training and other resources. Services include:
• Training workshops and programs
• Development of resource materials and publications
• Program evaluation
Family Literacy
Instructional program that recognizes the parent as the child’s first and most important teacher. Academic activities tie generations together to address the needs of the "whole family." Partnerships with Head Start, early childhood education programs, schools and social service agencies are vital to the project’s success.

Statewide Helplines
Statewide toll-free helplines supporting the work of state agencies:
- CONNECT Information Service (800-692-7288), providing information and literature, as well as referrals, for early intervention programs and services.
- State Wide Adoption Network (800-585-SWAN), providing general information about adoption, and referring prospective families to agencies that assist in the adoption of Pennsylvania's waiting children.
